SUSTAINABILITY
Celosa remains dedicated to establishing an environmentally conscious chain, to minimize our ecological footprint and promote sustainability.
PARTNERED WITH POSITIVE LUXURY
At Celosa, sustainability is at the core of our brand ethos. In partnership with Positive Luxury, Celosa is committed to establishing a strong foundation for a sustainable future and contribution to local Mexican communities. To receive a Butterfly Mark from Positive Luxury we are currently undergoing a rigorous review of our impact across various fields including Environmental, Social, Governance, and Innovation.
REVITALIZING FOR THE FUTURE GENERATION OF TEQUILA
We start by using 100% organic tequila, cultivating agave without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. This organic farming approach promotes healthier soil, reduces chemical runoff, and supports biodiversity. To age our tequila, we repurpose recently emptied French oak red wine barrels. By giving these barrels new life, we contribute to waste reduction and minimize our environmental footprint.
OUR WORKING HANDS.
At Celosa, a remarkable 70% of the distillery workers are female, reflecting a dedication to gender diversity and inclusivity. This empowering statistic highlights the company’s commitment to providing equal opportunities and fostering an environment where women thrive. The artisans responsible for meticulously crafting the exquisite bottle caps also form part of this talented and diverse workforce. With their expert craftsmanship, these artisans infuse each bottle with a touch of artistry, ensuring that every Celosa product is a testament to both quality and inclusiveness.
UPLIFTMENT AND EMPOWERMENT OF MEXICAN COMMUNITIES
Community support is another vital aspect of our sustainability ethos. We are dedicated to providing dependable employment and partnership opportunities to our skilled marble artisans. By supporting their craft, we contribute to the local economy and preserve traditional craftsmanship. We also prioritize the well-being of our artisans. In addition to employment, Celosa ensures that our artisans have access to healthcare in Mexico. By taking care of their physical well-being, we improve their quality of life and support their overall welfare. Our bottle design represents the fusion of indigenous and European techniques and designs. By incorporating traditional craftsmanship, we honor cultural heritage and contribute to the continuation of these skills across generations.
